Dudes, what’s up with Fox News? Nigel, I believe they call it Sky News over there, but I’m sure it’s the same crap? I really like Ted Turner’s commitment to philanthropy, so I usually watch CNN. The other day I thought I would expand my horizons though. I checked out Fox News for the first time. Man, Fox is the most hypocritical network ever. First of all these guys call themselves fair and balanced? What’s fair and balanced about still talking about one canister of chemical weapons that was found over a week ago? That’s not even news anymore. If it was really fair and balanced, they’d be talking about Abu Groping instead of trying to cover it up with this old story. It’s really weird too man. I mean Fox in general is really cool. It started out great with the Simpsons and Married With Children, and it has only gotten better. I just don’t understand how a network that produces so many good shows can also produce such terrible news. Think of all the money their spending on the Fox “news” channel too. If we were able to put that money to use, think of all the children we could feed. Think of all the school books we could buy. Hell, think of all the money we could spend on a true alternative media like Air Dudes, that’s why there should be a way to control what gets put on tv. If there was a way for the people to decide what gets put on tv, think about how much more efficient it would be. Fox could still make all their great shows, but they wouldn’t waste all that money on their so called news. Think about it man. Fucking think about it! |

| DDONG July 18, 2004 06:23 PM PDT I just wanted to tell you about a great campaign that I’ve been working on. Democrat Stas Gayshan is running for State Representative in the 13th Middlesex district which includes the towns of Wayland, MA, Lincoln, MA and Sudbury, MA. He has inspired many people both young and old to become politically active for the first time. He is a talented progressive who will fight for the issues that matter to the people of the 13th Middlesex district, and Massachusetts in general. His grassroots campaign focuses on bringing back commonsense values to Beacon Hill, and the State House will undoubtedly benefit from his leadership and vision. He is pro-choice, anti-death penalty, pro gay marriage, and a strong supporter of women’s rights. He recently attended a rally in Washington run by NARAL. He believes in developing business in his district but not at the expense of the environment or workers rights. The best part about Stas’ campaign is that he gives liberally of his time to help teach younger volunteers about the political process and he labors constantly to ensure that everyone on his campaign team gets something valuable out of the experience. Check out his website on http://www.stasforsate.com for more information about how you can help. | ||
| Nigel T. Higginsworth May 26, 2004 07:52 AM PDT Right 'O! We in Ol' Blighty have had to deal with that facsist network Sky for some time now. You would be amazed at how false their reporting is. Of course I do not watch Sky news, oh no, I only watch the BBC. I get most of my news from print media though. The BBC reports about Bush and Blair's lies, the decency of Saddam (he's not that bad) and superiority of Islam. Don't get me wrong, I typically do not support theocracy, mysogony and violence. That being said, Islamists could be good allies against US-British imperialism, Christianity and fascism. Pip Pip Nige | ||
